The following excerpted from Walter William's column last Sunday.
"If you and I are at sea in a rowboat and I commit the foolish act of shooing a hole in my end of the boat, would it be intelligent for you to retaliate by shooting a hole in your end of the boat?"
May have to work on a short story. Lots and lots of places to go with this:
> Can you see land?
> Use your bullet? or save it?
> Insist that other guy plug the hole with his body, if not he gets your bullet and then you'll use him to cover the hole.
> Are there any provisions or a PFD at his end?
> The boat is going to sink anyway. Look for something that floats.
