If you need a place to write where inspiration is immediately provided by a walk along the river. Look up the Raney House and let Kathy set you up for success! Blue Moon is another favorite and just down the street from the bookstore!
Reflecting on a grand stay in Apalachicola in November. 12 days of writing with my Screenplay author, Wilson Roepke. The town is still the delightful throwback to old Florida but having a tough time keeping it all going thanks to Covid. The Gibson is refurbished and more work in progress. Our writing day starts with a long walk thru town before Cafe Con Leche opens. With coffee we adjourn to our assigned locations. Wilson on the Front Porch, me on the back porch at work tables. We may come up for air at lunch but typically roll thru until 5 pm where debrief and status updates at Oyster City Brewing. Happy hour til 6 and Jen keeps 'em coming! Sent Book 1 to Turner Publishing in Nashville to see if they wanted to run with this bestseller-in-waiting. By the last day, book 2 was finished and had a working title. "Bottom Feeders."

Fishing on the Brink suspended in July. Reworking it in 3rd Person. While I love a Agatha Christie and Raymond Chandler style 1st person mystery, the contemporary mystery is in 3rd Person. Look for Fishing The Brink to be republished...
Intent is to have that one re-emerge with BOOK 2, Bottom Feeders. My talented Alpha Reader is finished and I'm reworking it now. Excited that this is getting close and different. Drew and Mack are back, Christi too but she needs to get back to Auburn and finish her degree. |
