Reflecting on a grand stay in Apalachicola in November. 12 days of writing with my Screenplay author, Wilson Roepke. The town is still the delightful throwback to old Florida but having a tough time keeping it all going thanks to Covid. The Gibson is refurbished and more work in progress. Our writing day starts with a long walk thru town before Cafe Con Leche opens. With coffee we adjourn to our assigned locations. Wilson on the Front Porch, me on the back porch at work tables. We may come up for air at lunch but typically roll thru until 5 pm where debrief and status updates at Oyster City Brewing. Happy hour til 6 and Jen keeps 'em coming! Sent Book 1 to Turner Publishing in Nashville to see if they wanted to run with this bestseller-in-waiting. By the last day, book 2 was finished and had a working title. "Bottom Feeders."
